Description

The Corvus Defensio case deflector deflects the empty ejected cases to the side or to the front and thus creates the ideal conditions to be able to carry out a troublefree firing with any AUG in the shoulder opposite the case ejection window. The assembly does not require any conversion work, drilling or bonding on the stock of the AUG. The case deflector is simply inserted into the case ejection window of the AUG stock and clamped by tightening the two screws. A positive side effect of the deflector is that it protects the plastic stock in the event of a weapon blockage where an empty case is not fully ejected and damages the plastic stock with the case mouth, as the front part has an impact surface made of hard anodised 7075 aluminium. It is expressly pointed out that care must be taken to ensure that the ejection spring of the bolt head is intact. Weak or damaged ejector springs can lead to frequent escapements. A case deflector in use may possibly exacerbate this. A possible (not inevitable) indicator of a weak ejector spring is permanent case ejection to the front, even without the use of a case deflector.

Assembly:
Screw out the screws of the sleeve deflector at least halfway and wet them with screw adhesive.
Put the two parts of the sleeve deflector together.
Place the assembled case deflector in the case ejection window with the deflector wedge to the rear (in relation to the direction of firing) so that the frame is in full contact with the stock.
Tighten the two screws alternately until the case deflector is firmly clamped in the ejection window.
Caution! Tighten the screws carefully, alternately and not too tightly, to avoid bending the frame or other damage.

Note: It is strongly recommended to fix the screws with screw glue, otherwise the case deflector could loosen during use!

Note: The Corvus Defensio case deflector is asymmetrical and therefore only suitable for mounting on the right-hand side of the butt!
